Project Statement
The series was made in China during my first international residency in the Chinese porcelain capital of China— Jingdezhen. Being that the materials, techniques and process in China are drastically different from the American ones. My focus shifted from combining different materials to a much more playful and casual approach.
The small sculptures act like landscapes, where sculptural elements come together and holding space for reflecting my experience and funny moments in China.
